Still Alive!

One week in, I am still alive and I am still breathing!
Yes I am over exaggerating a little bit, but I am young and an athlete. This is what I am supposed to do!

The first week of practice was nothing less than what I expected! Long, scrappy, physically as well as mentally exhausting sessions in order to in instill that toughness, which will help us become a championship level program for this year as well as the future. Our identity in which we try to have is known as "CDR" this stands for Compete! Defend! And Rebound! This is something we will do all game, every game. As we understand it will be a major key to our success.

Hence why we battle each and everyday so hard in practice, because we know that we work harder than not only most teams in our conference but most teams in the country. So if we can learn to sustain this high intensity of play and are able to translate it to games. It will be a nightmare for teams  that play against us as they would not be used to anything like this and they wouldn't even be able to practice/prepare for us as they wouldn't be able to replicate anything close to us.

We have key dates coming up soon such as the ITOO Spaghetti Super this Thursday which is a massive meal in which boosters and Bradley season ticket holders are able to come together with us and Women's Basketball and just sit down, have a meal with us, get to know the freshmen and sadly meet us old juniors and seniors again. It's fun because I believe it has been a Bradley tradition for something like over 75 years and is something those in the community really look forward to. I've enjoy it the last 3 years and am really looking forward to it again this year.

And secondly next Saturday will be our Red & White scrimmage which is the first opportunity for fans to see our team as a whole and it will be a inter team game in we are split up. We will play a short game, have a dunk contest, 3 point contest, sign posters and really just do anything to get people excited for the season. There is usually a lot of dancing, jokes and goofing around and something people really enjoy to come watch.

That is all this week! Heres a link to a video of us today! https://twitter.com/bradleyumbb/status/1047301401158868996/video/1

Hope you have a good week and hopefully I will have more exciting news next week!
